I love the moment I hear my tablet or smart phone chime, and the collection of photos from one of our events has arrived via email! I suddenly feel like it's Christmas morning, and I'm about to unwrap a present I've been waiting for all year! Seriously...this is what I feel!  I get all giddy and overjoyed! This morning, at 5am, was no exception.  These photos were taken by the extremely talented and kind husband and wife duo who own and run Xu Liu Photography out of Boston.  If you need a photographer, you should definitely consider them! Anyways, on to the goods.  Here are the beautiful wedding photos of Mr. & Mrs. Ryan Mishina's spectacular day.  I'm so proud and honored to say that we had a part in this!

It started and ended at the Omni Parker House in the heart of Boston. A classic, historical and perfectly run hotel, who's staff is helpful, kind and always finds an answer!  (I stayed as a guest, overnight, about a year ago, and they treated me extremely well then too!)

Simply Put: Perfect Wedding...well, there were a few minor hiccups along the way (the shuttle bus carrying 60 + guests got lost and then stuck in traffic, a pair of shoes from the bridal party were misplaced, a little hand cut at the ceremony, a few dresses falling down and needing extra tape) BUT as long as my lovely Bride & Groom were happy, comfortable & having the most incredible day, that's all that matters! This wedding was full of genuine love, friendly guests and exquisite details, such as the flowers from Madison Floral in Boston! (Thank You, Edison)  The ceremony was at Our Lady in Newton, Massachusetts, and the cocktail and reception were held at the prestige Omni Parker House in downtown Boston.  Christine & Ryan are clearly in love and were on top of the world, with all of their close friends and family watching.  I LOVED every moment of this event!  Oooo...and the band rocked too!  (Men in Black II) Thank you Marie Spindler for allowing me to be a part of such an intimate and special moment in your daughters life! It was truly an honor! Here's a few of our amateur snapshots from the day, to hold you over until the professional photos are ready! 

I'm sitting at my desk, with a large diet coke from McDonald's, a coat on because it's suddenly freezing in CT and a million little thoughts running through my less than supersized brain.  The main focus being that I have an upcoming Wedding to coordinate at the Omni Parker House in Boston next weekend.  The list of "To Do" and final ends to be tied up is clouding my mind.  Despite that, I can't help but think about Fall!

One Fine Day is prepping to do our Fall & Winter Shoot.  Yes, we actually do our style shoots during the current season, so that we don't have to glue together fake leaves or rent a snow machine.  We prefer genuine.  Anyways, since my thoughts are naturally inclined to day dream, here's what I came up with today.  I think you should throw a fall party, just because!  Invite your family and close friends.  Build a bon fire, make apple cider & serve warm donuts.  It's doesn't need to be expensive, expansive or elaborate. Here's a few cost effective tips to help you along the way:

1. Use your friends and family's resources for decorations.  Whether it's a centerpiece piece that would look great on your tabletop for your party, or your mother's 30 year old silver punch bowl for cider! Ask and ye shall receive!  BUT, always return the items sparkly clean and in a timely manner. 

2. Seek out the best tried and true recipes.  I guarantee that your grandmother has that one recipe that will blow people away, like her apple pie or homemade cinnamon and sugar donuts!  You need that one WOW factor on both the food end, and décor!

3.  Go for passed appetizers and scrumptious desserts over the sit down meal.  You'll cut costs, cut prep time and your guests will be completely satisfied as they munch on little things all through the day/evening.

4.  Lastly, don't be the host who works during the entire party, and forgets to spend quality time with her guests.  I'm very guilty of this, and I always regret it!  Perfect doesn't exist, so work your little butt of prior to the star of the party, and then just let it go when your friends and family arrive!
